For about as long as men have known how to measure things, they’ve been measuring their penises. Actually, for all we know, men have been trying to figure out how they measure up since the dawn of time. That’s not going to go away anytime soon, but now science has come through with an interesting new study to put those measurements in perspective. King’s College London has figured out what the average penis length is and, good news: It’s probably not as big as you think. As Men’s Health puts it: Researchers went through 17 studies that examined the penis size of more than 15,000 men. They found that the average flaccid penis length—from the base to the opening on the tip—was 3.6 inches and the circumference, measured around the base or mid-shaft, was 3.7 inches.
